Crowbar is a band from New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. The band was established in 1990, and its current members include vocalist/rhythm guitarist Kirk Windstein, drummer Tommy Buckley, lead guitarist Matt Brunson, and bassist Shan Wesley. The band has changed its lineup severally over the years, with some members leaving and others joining. They released their first album, titled “Obedience thru Suffering” in September 1991. Their second album, “Crowbar” was released in October 1993.
They released their first live album, titled “Live + 1” in March 1994. In 2000, the band released a new album titled “Equilibrium” under the Spitfire Records. Their next album “Sonic Express in its Purest Form” was issued the following years through the same recording label. In December 2009, the band went on tour with the bands, Thy Will Be Done, The Acacia Strain, The Casualties, and Hatebreed. Other albums released by the band include “Lifesblood for the Downtrodden” in 2005, “Sever the Wicked Hand” in 2011, “Symmetry in Black” in 2014, and “The Serpent Only Lies” in 2016.
